Job Info Job Location: Claremore, OK Route Type: Local Type of Assignment: Flex Transmission Type: Automatic Job Requirements Experience: 2+ years Handling: Heavy Touch Additional Information Local CDL A Delivery Driver - $24/hr DOE Location: Claremore, Oklahoma About the Position We are seeking a reliable, hands-on Class A CDL Driver for regional sod hauling and delivery. This role is ideal for an experienced driver who is comfortable operating manual-transmission equipment, working outdoors, and supporting operations from harvesting through delivery and site watering. Drivers are home daily approximately 99% of the time. Pay & Schedule Details Pay: $24 per hour, depending on experience Overtime: Time-and-a-half after 40 hours Typical start time: 6:30 a.m. in Claremore, with earlier starts when project locations require additional travel time End times: Vary based on project locations and load count; shifts may end between approximately 4:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. Home time: Home daily approximately 99% of the time Occasional travel: Rare out-of-town projects may require overnight stays, primarily for site watering duties Job Details Route type: Local and regional delivery routes Freight: Sod and agricultural materials Equipment: Class A truck tractors with flatbed trailers and manual transmissions Handling: Drivers will be trained to load, secure, and haul their own loads at harvesting sites Work environment: Includes off-road driving, harvesting locations, project sites, and outdoor work in varying temperatures Additional duties: Assist with watering sod at project sites Key Responsibilities Safely operate Class A manual-transmission trucks and flatbed trailers Navigate off-road access points at harvesting and project locations Load, secure, transport, and unload sod and related materials Learn to operate a front-end loader and load trucks independently Assist with watering sod at project sites as needed Complete deliveries safely, accurately, and on schedule Maintain a professional and safety-focused approach in changing outdoor conditions Minimum Requirements Valid Class A CDL 2+ years of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience Demonstrated proficiency operating manual transmissions Clean Motor Vehicle Record with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements Ability to strap and unstrap loads safely Ability and willingness to learn front-end loader operation Ability to work outdoors and withstand extreme temperatures At least 21 years of age Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off 401(k) Referral program Why Work With TransForce Join TransForce and see why our drivers are proud to be on the TransForce team.
