*Overview* Join our dynamic team as a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Truck Driver and take charge of delivering freight safely and efficiently across diverse routes. We are a small, independent company with personal dispatch. You can run as many or as few miles as you would like. You can take time off as you like. We, primarily, cover the Northeast, South, Southwest and Midwest. we do not go to California or the Pacific NW. Go as far west as Nevada. If you are looking to make a change and like more flexibility in your schedule, give us a call. We have an opening for a van driver and a flatbed driver. Good equipment. *Duties* * Safely operate commercial trucks with manual transmissions, ensuring compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. * Must have hazardous endorsement or willing to obtain it. * *Navigate routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems to meet delivery schedules across various locations.* * Handle a variety of cargo types with precision and care. * Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on tractors and trailers to ensure vehicle safety and compliance. * Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo documentation, and delivery records in accordance with FMCSA regulations. * Communicate effectively with dispatch teams to coordinate route changes or address delivery issues promptly. * Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record; experience operating tractor-trailers and other commercial trucks preferred. * Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including route driving and freight handling. * Ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently and safely. * Knowledge of logistics cargo handling procedures for various types of freight including hazardous materials. * Familiarity with GPS navigation tools and route planning strategies to optimize delivery efficiency. * Understanding of FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration), DOT (Department of Transportation), and hazardous materials regulations to ensure compliance at all times.
