Job Info Job Location: Edison, NJ Route Type: Local Type of Assignment: Direct Hire Transmission Type: Automatic Job Requirements Experience: 2+ years Handling: Light Touch TWIC Card Required Additional Information Local CDL A Truck Driver - $1,800-$1,900 Per Week - Edison, NJ About the Position We are seeking a CDL A Truck Driver in Edison, NJ. This position offers a competitive pay rate of $1,800-$1,900 per week. The schedule is Monday through Friday, primarily early morning shifts, with typical start times around 5:00-6:00 AM, depending on port appointments and operational needs. Pay & Schedule Starting pay is $360 per day during the probation period. Compensation increases to $380 per day after successful completion of the 3-month probation period. Job Details Route Type: Local Equipment: 2020 or 2021 Volvo automatic day cab Handling: Live load/unload operations at warehouses and customer locations when required Key Responsibilities Pick up ocean containers from NJ/NY ports and rail yards and deliver them to designated warehouses or customer locations. Complete container pickup/drop-off procedures, EIR processing, appointments, and related port/rail yard operations. Maintain good communication with dispatch and provide timely updates regarding pickups, deliveries, delays, and operational issues. Minimum Requirements Valid CDL A 4+ years of recent, relevant, and verifiable CDL driving experience. Valid TWIC Card and Sea Link Card, with active NJ/NY port access. Familiar with NJ/NY port container pickup/drop-off procedures. Experience with live load/unload operations and flexibility for regional deliveries. Clean Motor Vehicle Record (no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years). Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements.
